Sansone CPA & Financial brings fee-only wealth management and tax planning under one roof, for Crystal Lake retirees, pre-retirees, and business owners who are tired of fragmented advice.

Financial & Tax Advisor
Anton specializes in retirement planning, business tax strategy, and personalized financial advice designed to reduce taxes and support long-term financial goals. Whether you’re a solo entrepreneur, a growing practice, or planning for life after work, he delivers clear, actionable guidance tailored to your situation.
Most advisors specialize in either taxes or investments. Anton holds the credentials and the responsibility for both, which is what lets Sansone coordinate the two sides of your financial life under a single strategy.
“If your CPA and your advisor don’t talk to each other, you’re paying for two opinions that might contradict each other. I’d rather give you one full opinion.”

Planning runs on a calendar. Your tax return in the spring shows what already happened. The decisions that change it come earlier: a fall tax projection, then year-end moves while there’s still time to act.
Roth conversions. Converting part of a traditional IRA in a lower-income year can shrink future required distributions and the tax on them. The conversion counts in the year it’s done, so we size it from the fall projection with Medicare premiums two years out in view.
Giving from your IRA. Once you’re 70½, you can give directly from your IRA to charity. The gift stays out of your taxable income and counts toward required distributions, which often beats writing a check.
A hypothetical example: a retired couple uses their fall projection to size a Roth conversion that stays within their current bracket. They also make their church gifts straight from an IRA instead of their checking account.
We prepare your tax return and manage your investments in one relationship, so the projection and the portfolio work from the same numbers. See our fee-only wealth management.

Q.01
Our office is at 850 S McHenry Ave, Suite D, Crystal Lake, IL 60014, near Crystal Lake South High School and about five minutes south of downtown on McHenry Avenue. We’re open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and we meet in person or by video.
Q.02
We estimate this year’s tax before the year ends, using your actual numbers so far. It sets your fourth-quarter estimated payment and shows whether a Roth conversion, a charitable gift, or selling investments at a loss makes sense while there’s still time.
Q.03
It can make sense when your tax rate today is lower than you expect later, often in the years between retiring and required distributions. The tax is due for the year of the conversion, it can raise Medicare premiums two years later, and conversions can’t be undone, so we size them from your projection.
Q.04
Yes, once you’re 70½. A qualified charitable distribution goes directly from your IRA to the charity, up to an annual limit. It isn’t included in your income and counts toward your required distribution, so it can save more than a cash gift.
Q.05
Roth conversions, qualified charitable distributions, and sales to harvest investment losses must happen by December 31. IRA and HSA contributions for the year can wait until the April filing deadline. Workplace 401(k) contributions have to come through payroll by year-end.
